Unbreakable (2000)

In 7 words or less: Are Super-Heroes real?

What's it all About? A train crashes and everyone is killed except Bruce Willis' David. A man who seems to have never been ill and never been hurt. At the other end of the spectrum is Sammy Jackson's 'Mr Glass', a man with a rare disease that makes his bones terribly weak. When they meet, Sam tries to convince Brucie that he's a super-hero. Is he? Watch and find out.

Best bits? The scene where the kid points a loaded gun at David and threatens to fire thus proving his indestrucableness is tense and unexpected. It's a shame the rest of the film is trudgingly boring.

Did it make you think thoughts? SPOILER ALERT. So, as the film closes we find out that B-Willis does indeed have some kind of super abilities but it's never explained how he got them, why he has only just noticed and more importantly, why his character is as dull as dishwater. Die Hard this aint.

There is a twist at the end that is supposed to be both shocking and surprising but alas it just comes off as pointless and not so shocking. A massive wasted opportunity.

Would you watch it again? Nope

Rating (out of 100%): Thankfully it's a short film but other than that it doesn't have much going for it. I give Unbreakable, a perfectly breakable 30%
