April Fool's Day (1986)

In 7 words or less: April fool's jokes get out of hand.

What's it all About? A bunch of high school leavers go to their friend Muffy's house by the lake for a weekend of naughties and drinking. The April fool's day frivolities start off fun and harmless enough but something is amiss in Muffy's mansion...

80's People.
Best bits? There's a few! Near the beginning, there's an accident on the ferry during which the ferryman's first mate bites it. Which leads to a nice and quite gross scare. I was also a fan of the general soft eighties-ness of it and it's meandering pacing.

80's Pants.
The ending was a genuine surprise having not seen this one back in the day. It makes no sense what so ever. I like that.

Gratuitous 80's Hair shot.
Did it make you think thoughts? Very few. I just let it wash over me in a big nostalgic wave. After the twist, I was chuckling and thinking. "What?!" ... "How?!"... "No..." "That's Silly"... "That's a bad Plan"... etc.

80's Stretch.
Would you watch it again? I could watch this with the Kids on a Sunday afternoon.

Rating (out of 100%): 71% Thrills, Spills and Big Hair.

80's Flirting.
