The House on Sorority Row (1983)

In 7 words or less: Girls kill old lady accidentally on purpose.

Eighties Man.
What's it all About? The girls of a sorority house are sick to death of their interfering house-mother ruining all their coed fun. So naturally they try to put the scare on her with a gun. Unfortunately the gun is loaded and they kill the poor old dear. But, hey ho, the girls have a party planned in one hour and they're not going to let a little bit of murder stop their sexy fun. So they dump the old lady in a bin and carry on about their business... But did anyone see them? Why are they being picked off one by one? Where's the body of the old bag?

"I'll kill ya!"
Best bits? This line:

It's pretty funny how quick the girls turn to pulling a gun on this old battle-axe and how quickly they get over the murder. I'm not sure what they are all studying. But it's almost certainly Gym.

The eighties-ness of it all is very nice and it feels like it was made with love, even though it's not particularly well made. There's plenty of intrigue and some good, honest killings.

Coeds
Did it make you think thoughts? Not many. Maybe "What kind of chemicals get her hair that big?". I was interested to the end. So that's a plus.

Would you watch it again? Yes. Imagine how eighties this will look in another thirty years.

Rating (out of 100%): 55% A good time girl-based slasher.
