The Howling: Reborn (2011)

In 7 words or less: Straight to DVD wolf dirge.

What's it all About? Oh Christ, some weird teen that looks like a fake Daniel Radcliffe is a werewolf chock full of 'straight to dvd' angst. He likes a girl but then there's this pack of bad actors, I mean wolves that walk around staring at people so that changes everything.

Hello Hagrid. I'm bleeding, fetch the Granger girl.

Best bits? The stock footage of New York's skyline from the opening 30 seconds. That's it.

Nothing wrong with my levels mate. That's just god awful grading.

Did it make you think thoughts? Straight to DVD means bad direction, bad acting, bad audio, terrible effects and god awful plot. There's no werewolves in it! People just stare and breath heavily! The film shows you nothing, but not in an artistic way, in a really 'we don't have the skill or money to do actual werewolves' way. I can't even get started on the Magic Bullet Looks grading; gotta love those contrasty presets.

I didn't actually know this was a straight to DVD release, I just clicked it on Netflix because I was up for some wolf action. Bad move! But in fairness, my wife was away and all the other horror looked absolutely terrifying so I went for something that looked fun and soft. #fail

In the last 8 minutes you see someone change into a werewolf; it's a crossfade between a person and then a person in a dog costume. Hilarious!

Woof. Walk me.

Would you watch it again? The thought is earth shatteringly terrifying.

Rating (out of 100%): 18% Worst werewolf film ever made? No, because it's not a werewolf film. It's just rubbish. Booooooooo!
