Resident Evil Apocalypse (2004)

In 7 words or less: More video game related zombie killing action

What's it all About? Following on directly from the end of the first film, Racoon city is in a state of terror and desertion. Marshall law has been evoked and with the infection spreading, the city needs to be sanitized. Alice (Jovovich) is joined by viedo game mainstay Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) and together they attempt to escape the clutches of hungry zombies and the lumbering, hulking Nemesis.



Best bits? There's a bit with a crook driving a stolen car down the street. He did a zombie and exclaims, 'GTA muthaf**ker, yeah 10pts'. The Chief laughed hard. There's also some good fight choreography.

Did it make you think thoughts? Not sure why these films get such a hammering. It might not be a genre bustin' epic but it does what it should do. A no-brainer (well except for the ones the reanimated choppers are munching) with gun totting sexy chicks and crazy sci-fi techno babble.

Rating (out of 100%): A kind of John Carpenter wannabe but it's a fun romp with good action scenes and a silly storyline. 60%
