In 7 words or less: Ferrell and Wahlberg make big cop funnies!Best bits? So many funny bits! Lots of scenes left to play out with big time ad-libbing from Wahlberg and Farell. Michael Keaton as the sergeant is also brilliant; constantly makes TLC song references without knowing, v funny! Stand out scene for me is the story about the lion and the tuna fish. Lots of cool, super slow motion trickery used in all the action scenes too.
Did it make you think thoughts? This totally got dismissed when it came out. I think people thought it was your standard Will 'shouty' Farrell comedy romp. It's more than that. It is seriously funny! The two leads bounce off each other so well, Wahlberg especially puts in a standout performance. Beside from all that though, my main thought was why Michael Keaton isn't really in films nowadays. He's so awesome!
Would you watch it again? Totally! Bags of repeat laughs to be found in here! Laugh layers.
