Best bits? The beginning, Gynwyth Paltrow's ugly death followed by a a truly awful head sawing open autopsy. Spotting celebs in an all star ensemble cast, even the dad from 'Malcolm in the middle' gets a big role.
Did it make you think thoughts? Yes, stop touching my face so much and never, ever shake someone else's hand, you might as well lick their crevices out.
Would you watch it again? No, it was actually quite dull after the initial excitement, it basically just shows them finding the vaccine and sorting it all out. Which, while compelling, eventuallt leads to boredom. I enjoyed watching Kate Winslet, Marrion Cottilard and Matt Damon. The best actor in it is probably Morpheus from the Matrix. Solid as a rock. It really felt like a film that they got bored with halfway through and just thought, "ah let's wrap it up now". Shame as I am really usually quite fascinated by modern day apocalypse stories sans Zombies (rare these days) so had high hopes for this. Watch 'The Road' instead.
Rating (out of 100%): 63% Great acting and the potential for exciting events to occur but let down by the plot holes, (mainly the boy being allowed to come round at the end because he's been vaccinated even though she hasn't, he could still have germs all over him!) minimal drama really, and not much study of the effect on the population except for a bit of looting and queueing up. It is a film that is supposed to make you think about what could happen as opposed to scaring the crap out of you.
